Are you an Aspiring Deaf Interpreter aiming to excel at the CASLI Knowledge Exam? Join our dynamic and immersive Refresher Workshop tailored to enhance your skills and boost your confidence! This intensive workshop is designed to provide you with the tools, strategies, and insights needed to excel at the Knowledge Exam and work towards becoming a Certified Deaf Interpreter.

Workshop Objectives:

• Fine-tune Linguistic Proficiency: Strengthen your receptive skills in both American Sign Language and English, ensuring increased comprehension of exam questions.
• Ethical Decision-Making: Review and discuss the ethical guidelines specific to Deaf Interpreting, emphasizing the ethical challenges faced by interpreters in various scenarios.
• Interpreting Techniques: Refine your understanding of interpreting techniques through hands-on exercises, focusing on consecutive and simultaneous interpretation in diverse contexts.
• Performance Enhancement: Engage in role-play simulations and real-world scenarios to refine your practical skills and enhance your confidence in your knowledge of interpreting.

Who Should Attend:

Deaf interpreters who have completed an introductory Deaf Interpreter training via Aspiring Deaf Interpreter (ADI), Deaf Interpreter Training Online (DITO), or any other trainings and now are ready to prepare for the CASLI Knowledge Exam. Participants will refresh their knowledge, learn new strategies, and stay updated with the latest developments in the field.

Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 10am EST to 5pmpm EST (with two 10-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break) via Zoom. Link will be sent once registration is complete.
